Hey everyone, just thought I would try to help some people out with a couple sites to help you find the parts you need to repair your vehicle. I work for LKQ/Keystone which sells used and aftermarket parts in the US and Canada. You can see if there is a location close to you on lkqcorp.com. also one of the sites alot of salvage yards list on is car-part.com great site to find what you need. hope this helps some of you out and if anyone knows other sites post them on here.

Thanks all, Jonbo

no just trying to help people out by giving them a different option then going from junk yard to junk yard to find the right part to repair their truck. the second website isn't the company I work for it is a site alot of different salvage yards use to list their parts. when I go into work on Monday I will get with my manager and see if I can get you guys and gals a discount for our group. the biggest problem I have is we are a large company so getting a discount for the other states and Canada might be difficult. I will try though and let you all know.

If we find something do we email them the part or call? Do we just pick up at closest store? (leather seats)

I would call to make sure they have it. Not everyones inventory is correct. If it is my company and the store closest to you dosen't have it one of our other stores may have what you need and can ship it to the store closest to you. we all have semi trucks that ship from store to store with in each region.

LMAO.... I too am a former GreenLeaf employee, lucky enough to keep my job with the buyout. yes the keystone side does refurb bumpers I don't have alot of knowledge when it comes to them being an old salvage inventory guy myself. you would have to call the LKQ or Keystone closest to you and ask them if they can get you one.

sorry all checked with my boss, the only way I could get everyone a discount is if everyone ordered parts from my yard which after frieght or ups charges for the people that can't pick their parts up directly it wouldn't even be worth the discount. if we were a smaller shop I could get discounts for locals here but there is just too much corperate red tape to go through. I guess everyone should just use car-part.com and see which local salvage yard can get them a better discount.

Thanks for checking. You could be offering a 88% discount over OEM parts, and you'd still get pleas for a 91% discount, in my experience. We have a customer at work who we gave a VPA discount of 21% ten years ago when they were buying $3-4 million a year in systems. VPA stands for VOLUME Purchasing Agreement. TEN years ago. They called yesterday for a few spare parts for long out-of-warranty systems, and had the balls to ask for the same VPA discount. They were told to buy again in the same VOLUME and they might get the VPA discount if they had a signed AGREEMENT. Otherwise, they can build their own spares. (They're lucky we're still in business because they have done very little to keep us alive over the last six years.)

There's a level at which excessive discounting will kill off the very supplier you're depending on to be there in your emergency situation.

seems like more and more people are getting out more for themselves and not making the great partnerships that used to make buisnesses survive
