Interesting drag car with a long history of engine swaps. Currently making 427hp/419tq. Has a decent build thread over at Grassroots Motorsports. Enjoy.

Seeing a 4200 running as well as this Studebaker does, kinda vindicates and renews my interest in my own project. I committed a few years back on using a MS3Pro to run a 2008 4200. Just have to get a few things out of the way on the Jeep side of things first. Why I ever decided to do an all out restoration is beyond me. :faint:

A cool picture today from the 4200 Facebook site showing newer Ls truck coils. I won't need to use these coils as I believe the 06-09 coils are fine on MS3 when non-turbo charged.

Maybe this year i'll at least accomplish rebuilding my original motor, prepping it to handle boost, and painting it. That's half of the project right there.
I've never seen anyone run different coils before. That's interesting for sure. I was just going to use the stock ones. Not going to get an '06+ head because I want to keep costs down and there's also some other timing related parts i'd have to swap out from my '04 motor (every year differed believe it or not). It's a bit more power due to the better airflow, but with a Turbo you're already getting a massive gain. Plus, if I have motor already in my possession, why not just use it, despite it not being a desirable year to work with when doing this sort of thing.
