Started fine. Used the remote start being its 20 here in nyc. Went to get on the expressway and punched it and it died. All singing noises and says service brake system. No codes and won’t start. Cranks fine

Do you hear the fuel pump prime when you turn it to RUN?

If the ABS came on at the same time it died, I would suspect an electrical issue like the ignition switch or a bad ground. Check the fuses.

Maybe with the cold, the fuel pump decided to die. Try to jump the relay and swap it with another.

20f? That's not cold. Try -20c here (-4f)

actual temp?!?! its real feel -2 with the wind i was thinking pump also , but that would cause service brake system to pop up ?

i had to bite the bullet and have it towed. it died in a bad spot on a short entrance ramp. i didnt want to take a chance of a local shop playing guessing games only to tell me they dont know , i had it taken to a chevy dealer. new blazer looks niceeeeeeeee but thats only a pipe dream right now

Shhhhhhh! Don't say that too loud around here. It and the new TB are despised here as soccer mom "not a real truck" grocery getters.

And yeah, that was actual temp here this morning. Felt like -29c with the wind (-20f).

Keep us updated.

Maybe that coil shorted, blowing the fuse and now just misfiring. Or wiring damage?

2 hours diagnostic. They changed the fuse and pulled the misfire code. Swapped 6 coil to 2 and 2 misfired. No coils in stock. So now I’m stuck till Monday. Oh , and $360 for a coil installed plus the diagnostic

Okay so the truck died the other day I replaced 2 coils. They did one and I I just swapped the #3. It had over 1200 misses. Not it’s running , no CEL and no misses counted , but running like shit

Up just actually read the paperwork. P1682. And now the #3 misfires are popping up. I don’t know if it’s the plug. I’m going by these guys saying they swapped coils and the miss followed the coil. I am using duralast coils btw. Only half way decent available

I moved your new posts to this existing thread to keep things together.

The P1682 (ignition 1 switch 2 circuit) maybe telling you that the ignition switch is bad. Start with that, clear the codes and see what happens. Could be affecting power to the coils. I'm surprised they didn't do anything with that as that would be my first suspect. Eliminate the obvious first.

After that, if you're still getting multiple misfires that seem to follow moved coils, I'd replace all of them just to eliminate them.

I actually swapped all the plugs and coils and so far so good. I have the switch so that’s next. I’m calling the bank to deny the charges. This all started with them saying #6 was missing and swapping the coil to #5 caused 5 to miss. While working in the driveway at 12am with a headband light , I found the #6 coil dirty and never touched. Not even a scape on the bolt from a socket. I called them today and the managers answer was “well , the tech said he fixed it “.
