Transmission compatibility question

Real quick question, guys: Is the transmission from a 2002 short wheel based Envoy the same as a 2003 Envoy with extended seven passenger wheel base??

They are the same transmission as long as the engine is the same, both 4x4 or both 2 wheel drive. The XL just has a longer drive shaft. It is a 4L60E and just for good form you can measure the tail shaft housing length.
