NEED HELP Transfer case replacement

So I have a 05 tahoe 5.3 z71 with the np8
I'm replacing it with a np8 from an 03 trailblazer. Any thing i need to be aware of or on the lookout for. Thanks in advance

They're not the same and it won't swap in. The GMT360/370 TC is an NV226 and the Tahoe's is an NP246.

NP8 is just an RPO code. All it means is a 4WD 2 speed selectable transfer case. It doesn't say which transfer case is used in a particular platform.
