I will be changing the transfer case fluid in the morning,i have watched a couple videos on how to do it but both were on a 4.2l I6.I have a 2003 trailblazer v8 and my question is will the fill and drain plugs be in the same location.Thank you and sorry if its a dumb question.Eric

Make sure you use the GMC blue transfer case fluid only. It's reasonably priced (believe it or not it's one of those items they dont' seem to gouge on) from the dealer so don't mess around with aftermarket stuff.

And remember to take out the FILL plug first because if you can't get it out with a drained case you go NOWHERE.

and PB blaster liberally sprayed on the fill plug a few minutes prior to removal helps as well!
