Today my trans started acting up. 2004 Olds Bravada, 200k miles.
Everything is fine from a stop, nothing wrong in 1st gear. Shifts into 2nd fine, and while accelerating, i feel and hear a click/clunk with the truck surging at the same time throughout 2nd gear. It happens maybe once per second and does this 3 or 4 times. Shifts fine into 3rd gear and same thing after the shift. More surging/clicking/clunking while in 3rd gear. I've also noticed that when coming to a stop, the downshifts are VERY clunky. Same thing periodically occurs when upshifting. Sometimes i get VERY hard clunks into 2nd and 3rd gear. The surge/clicking im hearing is while im accelerating IN GEAR, not shifting or transitioning into gear.
I checked the fluid, looks good. Not smelling burnt. I changed trans fluid/filter last summer. I also should mention i've had the PCM 4 LESS tune for years. No Codes and nothing pending either.
Any ideas ? Hoping its something easy.....thanks, mark
