Hey guys my names Ben, I bought my first truck 8 months ago, that being a 2002 Trailblazer LS with 4x4, the g80, and 3.73 gears, with 60,400 miles on it. I love this truck, It has treated me great so far! Its interesting how it happened like I was browing around for chevy tahoes when i came across this trailblazer listing that really caught my eye because it said 60k miles mainly. Once i saw that listing, i made my mind quickly on buying it even though i didnt know much about them, it was almost like a gut feeling like i just had to have that truck, it was the one! so 4 days later after seeing the listing we went to go pick her up. when i got there it was raining and man i was excited and she looked clean! After making sure It was the one i went ahead and bought it. I saw a decent amount of lifted trailblazer pics and videos and I instantly knew i eventually wanted it with a big lift on big tires, but i wasnt sure how soon. So i spent the next 6 months working n saving up. Once i had enough, i went and bought a Supremesuspension 3 inch lift kit and got it installed without flipping ucas, it emded up destroying my cvs two weeks later ☠️🤦‍♂️ that was another learning experience. So after that Me and the mechanic did our research very thoroughly. We decided to go with adjustable front shocks from belltech with stiffer springs, and rear z71 springs, rear bilstein 5100 shocks, and a zone offroad body lift, and heavy duty cv axles. The front lift is set at 2.5 inches, with a 2 inch body lift, its got 4.5 inch in front and 4 inch of lift in back. I just got the truck back today after about two months of waiting and man im satisfied it Drives great with the new lift on! Ive always wanted to customize my own truck, ive dreamed of it as a kid. So this Trailblazer is really special to me. This is my first truck ive bought myself and first truck ive had in general, and man its been such a journey with it so far, but im just so damn grateful to have it and to have it setup the way it is now, its literally a dream come true. 😌 I will be posting lots of pics of the truck, any feedback or questions would be great! Thanks 🙏🏻
Ben,

Hi and welcome. Moved to the lifted section since that is mostly what is mentioned.

Nice looking truck! The bull bar also gives it a good look.

What kind of front suspension lift did you use? There is one type we call the "death lift" as they break easily. It's the type that extends the top of the strut rather than a spacer on top of the spring itself. Can you post a link to the kit?

I thought that anything over 3" was more than the front upper control arms could handle?

He has 2.5 inch suspension lift, the additional is from the body lift.

Thanks man I appreciate that! And im running the belltech adjustable front shocks, they adjust up to 2.5 or 3 inches of lift. Mines set at 2 inches Of lift now and Its very similar to the adjustable bilstein 5100s. And im pretty sure its not the “death lift”, if it is please let me know though. And i can post the link to the belltech shocks and zone body lift kit if you need.

You should be fine. I am familiar with the Bilstein 5100 and those are safe as they increase spring height, not strut height.

@02trailblazerLS you don't need to make a new thread when you want to post pics. You can post them in your existing thread to keep them together. I moved your last post to join the others, so everyone can see your progress as you post more.

@02trailblazerLS absolutely love it man! once i get the new trans installed on my 05 EXT 4x4 im most likely going for the EXACT build you have. ive been digging through so many ancient threads trying to find a complete set up close enough to what im wanting to do and finally found yours!! so thank you so much for this 🤙

any chance i could get a part # for those belltechs? this is the first ive seen about them and ive been thinking about going with the billstein adjustables for matchings ocd sake but might go with the ones youve got if it is better/cheaper for me

i was thinking about the monroe coilover load adjusting shocks for the back opposed to the billstein 5100's but worried they might be overkill paired with the z71's lol i just like the way they look

also what front springs did you go with? are they the moog 81110 or somethin diferent?

and also what cv axles did you get?
