Trade LS for LT front end.

Before I go buy a set of LT headlights, does anyone with an LT want to swap for LS headlights and grill?

I'm going to fab a grill and would be easier without the grill covering the headlights.

To be more specific, a late-run LT. My 05 LT has the full billet grill, for example. I can't remember if it was 07-09 or 08-09 LTs that had the "normal" lights.

Only LT in 06 but all 07 to 09 I believe.

Actually ONLY LT's from 06 to 09 have the full lens headlight.

Interesting. Wonder why. I prefer the LS and think the Lt lights look cheap. The blank in the middle is just goofy. I had an 07 LT and just couldn't bring myself to swap. The blank slab in the middle looks like an afterthought.

Ya back in the day when they where cutting costs. Take out something small, times that by thousands of vehicle and bam, you've cut costs. Like in mine (07 LS from the Ohio plant) I don't have the rear 12v plug in .

I'm with you, I to don't like the blank look in the headlights.

My 02 has the 12V in the back, which doesn't work. No idea why. Fuses are fine, wiring at the socket looks fine, but there is no juice. Oh well.

I'd agree that the LS lights look better, but i don't want to add wings to the grill to cover the holes.

not sure how well it will work, but I plan on welding up a metal frame and using welded razor wire for the grill portion. painted black it should look cool.

eh, i figure once a month or so I'll hose the dead birds out of it

I would cut some of that and fill the headlight voids of the LS. Would be badass
