Towing mirrors

I just traded my openbow boat for a new pontoon boat. The pontoon is 8'6" wide and seeing around it is difficult. I know where I can get a set of the power extending mirrors that were on the 04-05 GMT 800 trucks. I'm sure they will bolt on the Envoy, but does anyone know if the power slide function will work? Didn't some Envoys have a power fold option for the mirrors? I'm hoping that the fold function can be used to extend them instead. If not, I am looking for suggestions for towing mirrors.

Thanks,
Todd

i used some manual extended mirrors off of 2000 chev 3/4 ton. But I had to make adapters to fit between the door and the mirror. bolt pattern was different and the size of the triangle part was different size.

I use these for my 5000lb 30ft trailer. They work great. I can see all the way down the side of the trailer. Remember that these have dual mirrors on each side. I also have the single mirror ones but you can't see all the way down the side.

If you want tow mirrors like on the 04-05 GMT 800 trucks they wont be a direct fit due to how the bolt on but I can show you what needs to be done! I have all the functions except for power extending since this was an expensive enough gamble its self. I've been meaning to do an article on how to install them but I keep forgetting but maybe today ill do it.
Here is how mine turned out! There are better pics in the link above.

I loved your mirrors when I saw them at Coldwater. This could be my next mod, so I'll be looking for that write up....

And sure enough, this was my next mod. Thank you Kuchar09 for the inspiration!

Like previously posted, there are differences in the mounting holes of the Trailblazer and the Silverado, so it took about 45 minutes of monkeying around with a driill and a rotary tool to make it fit just right. So far I've only installed the passenger side mirror because we're going up north this weekend camping and I don't have the time to get the drivers side installed yet.

Also note, my original mirrors are NO power, NO blinkers, NO heat. Totally manual. Turns out there is NO wiring harness in the door for power mirrors, so I'm glad I opted for the manual towing mirrors as well. I would have been really bummed if I spent more for power mirrors then had no wiring to connect them up...

So here's the new mirrors collaped and extended

Compare the old mirror to the new one, collapsed and extended

The difference between the mounting leaves a small gap which I will be finding some rubber trim to make it look like factory again...

Same as we use for our boat and travel trailer. No issues with them to date and a decent rear view when adjusted correctly.
