I love the old C/K Cheyenne series.
The only reason I don't find one to tinker with is that standard cab - sitting upright for long periods is no fun.

There's one year that has a radiused front on the hood - I think it's '67. That's the best-looking one, IMO.

Still love a standard cab,...the way a P/U is supposed to look !

I had this exact truck in 78',.. not in this nice of shape and not in 'ugly' green, mine was black with burgandy interior,.. the 'full-time' 4x4 was a beast in the snow but def soaked up more gas and wear and tear on front end parts. It doesn't show any pictures of the 400 sbc or engine bay, which Id be interested in seeing, the ad also doesnt mention the aftermarket block heater thats obviously pig tailed out the grille, but then again being from North Dakota that wouldn't be a surprise. This truck above is in exception shape for that vintage, hence the $20k price tag...although worth it to some, if I were going to drop $20k on a truck id opt for a low mileage 04' LB7 Duramax.

You might be talking about this style, built from 67'-72',... I had one of these also in this very color, mine was a 70' and still had quad headlights, 71-72 went to single dome headlights.

Mine was a 77 Silverado 4x4 black with red interior, lifted with big mudders and a big block engine, those were the days. 😎
Mine was a 76 Silverado 1 ton dually with 454 & 4 speed. Black with blue interior. $6900.00 Canadian dollars brand new before taxes.
I now have a 2015 Silverado 4 x 4 with the 5.3, black with grey interior. Standard cab. Bought brand new for $31000.00 Canadian.
I guess I should say had, my son has the belief that it is his, as he uses it when I'm in Florida for 6 months and most of the time when I'm in Ontario.

That's the one! My earliest memories were of the '73-up (I was born in '64.) I liked those - but I liked these even better, when I discovered them.
I've also got a soft spot for the same-gen ('73-up) 'K' Blazer / Jimmy, especially the ones with the removable tops.
I know the similar year Broncos are all the rage now, but I think the Blazer was the better truck.

Going back farther, I do like the styling of the 2nd- & 3rd-gen F-series. Swap a Chevy driveline into it, and you're good to go!

I had a thought of a standard cab run-a-round pick em up for awhile now. Either basic v8 5 speed 2wd with wheels or a body lifted 4x4 on 33s like my best friend had in high school for nostalgia

There's this beautiful classic,...or personally if I had the $$$$$ I'd build this custom 8.0 with 07' interior. Always been my favorite.
