Throttle Body Repairable?

I'm getting a code that says the throttle position sensor is bad; I've learned this means the complete throttle body needs to be replaced. Is it possible to take the throttle body apart and also the TPS and repair it? I've got to believe that it would not be too complicated to open the TPS, and bend the sliding contacts to make better contact.

Thanks in advance for any advice you might have.

Might work. Might also be in the connector or wiring to the sensors. Don't think anybody's done it and succeeded. Take pics and post up about it if you win.

Or, post up even if you don't win.

It'll give the next person some place to start, if they want to try.

So our TPS isnt serviceable? If it goes bad we have to replace the whole TB?

I have not found anyone that sells parts for the TB/sensors. The good news is, a brand new TB with all electronics is only about $130, and it takes all of 15 minutes to change out.
