The attached video hearkens back to the movie scene from "Apocalypse, Now" where the voice of Marlon Brando portraying Colonel Walter Kurtz' recoded radio broadcast from Cambodia is being played back for a sweat-soaked Martin Sheen, playing Captain Willard. It emphasizes Kurtz' extreme state of madness and it is that which becomes real in this bizarre Youtube video about just how far the sharpness of edged metal implements can be taken... right off "The Edge":

"Slithering... Sliding down the Edge ....of a Straight... Razor...and Surviving..."

No snails appeared to be harmed in the making of the video. Take a close look at the edge on the blade of the pocket knife when the guy shaved his arm. The edge was done more perfect than i have ever achieved. Slicing the apple so thin that it is translucent was sweet.

Indeed... The reason for the ultra-sharp edge is because it seems to be made from Very High Carbon Damascus Steel; judging from the hints of the swirls in the metal of the upper blade. The same results can be very nicely emulated using an Old Timing Chain from a SBC as a Forging Blank that will provide some very unique swirls and designs once it gets Hammer-Forged in a series of folded over laminations into a flat section while white hot ... very useful for making ridiculously strong Knife and Axe Blades. :>)

Hattori Hanzo… (...the Sushi Master and Retired Samurai Sword Maker from Quentin Tarantino’s Movie Classic “Kill Bill) …Has NOTHING on this Kid Kiwami from Japan when it comes to hand-making inanimate materials into almost spiritually preternatural cutting instruments that REALLY are “MAD SHARP”:

That is quite concerning as this could be used to thwart airport security where there isn't full body scanners if you epoxy the handle instead of using screws.

Following on with the Main Theme of ‘Edged Weapons and Cutting Instruments’ that deserve to be called “Madd Sharps” are the same implements used by this Craftsman Cobbler as he endeavors to resurrect and “Cobble” together some VERY Broken Down, Care-Worn Work Boots of an Expensive Vintage.

As an aside though… THE Toughest SOBs I ever had to take into custody must be classified as being “Drunk and Pissed Off Tree Surgeons” who did NOT want to leave the Bars and Go Quietly to Jail. I suspect that THIS Man could give you just as much trouble if he wanted to, based upon the frequency and necessity of him using the sheer strength of his Arms, Hands and Fingers all day long to be successful in the detail conscious, knife wielding and cutting application of his Craft:
