The Issue:

An INSANELY ‘Difficult to Diagnose’ Reduced Power Mode Problem

The Target Vehicle:

2002 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 8.1L V8

What “Crazy Ivan” from PHAD (Pine Hollow Auto Diagnostics) Discovered along the way before he SOLVED! This Issue:

(1) OEM Engine Component Upgrades between Series & Years can become a Nightmare!

(2) You MUST Perform Diagnostics using a combination of an Oscilloscope and a High End Scanner.

(3) Comparing Wiring Diagrams against the DIFFERENT “Identical” Parts is a VERY Critical Step.

(4) It IS Possible to Perform an ‘02 to an ‘04 Throttle Body Upgrade via Wire Harness Exchanges.

(5) By NOT Giving IN to the Problems, Ivan eventually SOLVES the Reduced Power Issues.

(6) By NOT Giving IN to the Problems, Ivan eventually SOLVES the APP Pedal Sensor Problem.

(7) Sometimes ”Fly-By-Wire” becomes “Fly-By-Night” ...after GM Engineers Diddle in New Changes.

(8) Sometimes, YOU will have to come up with Engineering your OWN Hardware Update Solutions just like Ivan's APP "Gas Pedal Stop" Fix.

(9) All Repair Solutions Breed New Problems! (Note the issue of having to Re-Locate Oil Filler Neck Tube vs. the New Throttle Body).

(10) “Crazy Ivan” from PHAD... NEVER Quits!
