That DOT 3 insecticide must have worked well because they've been totally wiped out!

Where was this car when I had my first kid in the 80's?
87723

Use your car as a vacuum. Kind of a PITA to vacuum the house carpets.
87724

Hey, Popular Science says it's OK!
87725

Rambler knew how to lube their chassis.
87726

Can you say "Me Too"?
87727

What could go wrong?
87728

Wonder if they're still around? I want a set!
87729

Yes, very safe.

Heck, we can't even get a lighter and ashtray anymore.

Don't worry, with Pot legal in Canada and soon to be in New York, the lighter/ashtray will again be included in the "driver convenience package".
Perhaps. There will probably be a no driving while burning law that ultimately prevents that though.

You mean like the...no texting while driving law?
Yes, but do you think an auto manufacturer would want to be branded as an enabler? That's the sole reason they're gone in the first place tbh.

I just love the one about the tire ants. Must have been a scam just like nitrogen in the tires is today.

I googled this. It's plausible. Fire ants will build a nest on a parked wheel near an existing nest. When building the nest they carry dirt from the ground to the treads and rim. Crazy.

My parents had a 49 Nash. I remember them driving to Canada with the passenger seat folded down into a bed.
I also had a hand me down 56 Pontiac Star Chief. Great car.

All the old cars from our memories that we wish we still had. My parents had '63 and '65 Impalas, a '64 Pontiac Safari wagon and a '73 Caprice. Even myself, I had a '78 Camaro Type LT and later a '78 Z28 4 speed. Both died of rust cancer. I miss the Z28 the most :sadcry:

Where did you find all of these, Moose? (I know, 'various places'.. being facetious)

For some reason, the Pontiac Star Chief one stuck in my mind... 'Spread your Legs' ? With two models who looked like they were at prom? And she's in the back seat, no less?
I know it was a different time, but still.
The car itself looked like it was a sister to the 'Tri-Five' Chevys (210 / Bel Air, etc.)

PS: I still wish I had my '70 Monte. Fun times. I owned the world, back then.

It was a buddy from Australia that sent them to me in an email. He sends me a lot of the funny stuff I post here.
