I was at one of the local annual RV shows yesterday, and as with most trade shows, there were some ancillary booths there with various items offered for sale.

One booth was selling TENS devices. I knew what they were, but had never tried one before.
Picked one up for the next time my lower back acts up (when it happens, it's pretty debilitating for 2-3 days). I have scoliosis, and take an Rx anti-inflammatory to keep it in check.

Anyone else use these? Curious as to your experiences.

When I trashed my back a couple years ago playing soccer (long story) I used one. It causes a spasm essentially which helps keep the muscle loose. It did help.

I have one that I use from time to time. Has a few different stimulation types (knead, pulse, massage, etc) and intensity settings (1-10), for different areas of the body. I like to use it on my back and shoulders mostly, but it has settings for hands and feet too. I usually never set the intensity above 5, or it's too much. Also, the closer together you place the pads, the stronger the sensation given the same intensity.

It should go without saying, but don't place the pads across your heart. That won't end well. :nono:

When I threw my back out a few years ago, the physiotherapist would use it on me and I found that to be the most beneficial. I bought one on Amazon and it's as good as the pro's. Has two sets of pads, various settings and intensity. Used on everything including back, shoulders, knees. Can even use it on your feet for plantar fasciitis. Love it. replacement pads are also available on Amazon but they can be reused any number of times. Even after the sticky wears off completely you can use tape, For the price, I didn't go wrong :
