Upgrading my overhead console has been on my mind for a very long time. After much searching, I picked one up on eBay for $40 shipped. This particular one came from an '06 Ascender 5-passenger. The swap will be extensive as I will make it look factory and there are other problems as far as installation is concerned. I will try to make a how-to when finished. The problem with the new one is that it has a sunroof switch when I don't have a sunroof. I have big plans for it. Does anyone want to take a guess?

The flux capacitor is imaginary and this switch will serve a real purpose. There will be actual electrical conducting capacitors in this project.

What I will be doing is adding one of these:
[PDF]http://datasheets.maxim-ic.com/en/ds/DS1804.pdf[/PDF]
one of these:

to control these:

I have more too, but not pictured.
And I will get:
complete digital PWM dimming control over all of the BLUE LED items I am putting inside. I am known for my love of lights and LEDs, just not on this forum though.

Then I'll have to upgrade the dome LEDs too. According to my calculations, the are only putting out less than two lumens each, while my cargo area is 155 lumens.
