I found a good deal on wheels and tires for my 05 TB. Can I just swap the current 16" wheels and tires with the 17" ones that I found?

Whats the tire size of the 16" wheels and 17" wheels? Just wondering for overall height.

Whatever you say chief :bonk:

Good point...if someone were to buy my stock gmt wheels and just throw em on they may not realize they are going slower than what the speedometer actually reads.

Why are your tires smaller than they are supposed to be?

The op asked if they would fit....
Because the tire type and tire width I wanted I either had to go bigger or smaller. I chose smaller because I don't care about the speedometer /odometer readings being off.... however I do get better torque off the line and acceleration from lower speeds. Wanna race

Up until a couple minutes ago the op hadn't indicated tire size. If they were 33's they might not fit right? See how the tire size is also important.

Based on the tire sizes the op just posted he will have an 8.69% increase in diameter so his speedometer will be off accordingly compared to where it's at now. Just giving the op something else to consider so he can find out if his speedometer is correct or not. I'd hate to get a speeding ticket because I put bigger tires on

Its funny, I'm on 17's but my spare is a 16, same overall diameter though.

My speedometer is dead on.

Makes sense. Diameter is the big thing

Its not enough to matter, everyone should check their speedometer with a GPS anyway. Mine was off 4 mph with stock wheels.

You want to race me? [emoji3]
But OMG what if the GPS is wrong?!?!?!?!?!

The satellites in orbit could be misaligned throwing it all off!!!!!

Well it's funny I just did the same thing... I went from 16's on my TB EXT LS which is a 2006 to 17" 245 75 17 that are off a 2004 Trailblazer LTZ... Now I have 235 70 16 a set of wheels and tires for sale $200. Wheels are nice, two are new one in 2010 the other in 2015, the other two are still in good shape no dents or scratches... I really wish someone would buy this set of tires and wheels I have lowered price from $250 to $200 only because two of tires are wore more than the other two... But say I am pretty firm on the $200 because the wheels alone are worth more than this.... Now also in this article someone said that they are having to use a 16" tire and wheel for a spare.... I would like to find a good used tire and wheel size 17" and use it for a spare so one side want lean if I had to use the 16"...

You got a pic of your 16" EXT wheels? They should not have been able to clear the brake calipers, unless you've got SWB calipers/rotors on your truck.
