Got the 383 Stroker installed in the '94 GMC K1500, runs good and strong except for some surging, particularly upon start up and when cold. Doesn't do it much when hot.
Engine has about 600 miles on it, have replaced the break-in oil and just replaced plug wires, rotor and cap with AC Delco parts, has new plugs. Just can't figure out why is surges a lot sometimes, wonder if its fuel, need new throttle body on a new engine maybe? It has an MSD ADjustable Timing Control on it so I can advance the timing for more power, just have to watch out for pinging. I did run it for a while without the Timing control and didn't seem to make much difference. Any thoughts?
