Good evening
I'm currently studying differentials.
I've also been looking at the ORTB site for years, but this site has been locked recently.
I want to reduce the load on the AT because I use larger than normal tires.
So, as a future plan, please give me some advice in case I replace my ring and pinion gear.
First of all, are there any differences in the reputation of the gear manufacturers?
sierra
motive
National Drivetrain
yukon
I saw the following.
Are these manufacturers?
I've also heard that yukon is strong.
Are there any manufacturers that make them stronger than their factories?
Are there any major differences between the manufacturers?
Are there any other manufacturers that have a good reputation?
The next question is:
My rear differential is 8.6. 3.73. It's the G80.
The 4WD shop I consulted with said that a 4.56 gear is the best for the tire size.
However, when I told them how big the front differential was, they said it might be too small.
In the small differential of 7.2, he was told that 4.56 might be too thin.
He said he might prefer to opt for 4.11.
I've seen a lot of build threads and various threads, but there were a lot of people using 4.56.
Are there any cases where 4.56 was broken?
Is there any problem with using 4.56?
thank you.
