NEED HELP Strange problem with my Saab

Hi to all, my 2006made Saab have strange problem. After dead battery TCM (maybe) go bad. Reverse works normal but after putting Drive transmission shift to 3 (but can't shift up o down, only to P,R,N) and instrument cluster say shifted 1, speedo can't nothing (only backlight) but RPM, oil, temperature, DIC work normally just like any others electrical stuff. My local Saab specialist think about faulty TCM but have only EuroSaab Tech2 and minimal knowledge about GM trucks. Someone can help me please ?!? GMT360 trucks are RARE in my country especially in Saab version (approx only 6-7).

Having a Tech 2 would certainly help in diagnosing. All you would need really is a GM memory card. Although this could take a while, you could order one from Aliexpress like this one. You just have to specify the GM card.

Apart from that, have you checked all the fuses? Not just look at them but check with a multimeter or test light. What is the condition of the transmission fluid? A nice red/pink or brown and burnt smell? Is the check engine light on? Any codes?

Thank you Mooseman, fluid been changed in May 16 with no leaks before or after. Original Saab Tech2 can say only something like "communication with TCM failed". Every main fuses been checked but nothing wrong here. I try order this Tech2 card: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/26345783643

Yes that will work but is more expensive. However will probably get to you faster.
