Long story short i re did my stepper motors an fixed my speedo an other things not working.
Evrything has been fine for 2 months or more an yesterday the speedo needle strted tickin like
a second hand on a clock instead of gliding smoothly. Then the needle droppd.below 0 down to
6 oclock position when i shut the engine off. Anyone has a idea on what it may be? New cluster needed?

before replacing the cluster i would try and swap around the steppers. I know you just replaced them, but you may have gotten a bad batch. Maybe swap it with the oil pressure one since that one is a joke anyway.

probably, bad replacement parts work all the time for a short period and then go bad. I agree with Donnie, try swapping it out.

It could just be a cold solder joint or cracked trace that finally gave way. That would explain the jerky action if one coil wasn't connected well. Before swapping I would inspect the joints very closely and even hit em with a soldering iron again if you see something obvious. Or it really could just be a bad motor :frown:
