Spark plug change

Had an intermittent misfire, again. Scan says #6 is acting up. With 120K miles, I figured that I was overdue for a set of plugs. Now, an old fart like me would have usually cleaned and regapped them, but I was in a good mood, so I bought a set of new 41-103s.

Here’s the old plugs. I figure that they are original equipment so they don’t owe me a dime.

#6 is on the left to #1 on the right. How ‘bout day gap!? There was a little oil in the #1 well— wet, but no puddle. All the others were clean and dry.

Should be good for another 100K miles.:2thumbsup:

Hey Jim, long time no post!

Yeah, those were original, as per the part number on them, so they were done for sure. Did you do anything else like clean the throttle body, replace the air filter?

I ran out of time, but had planned on doing the throttle body. Air filter is good. Will probably do it next weekend.

Just to add, that #6 is a real pain and #5 was no bargain either. I’m pretty short as well as being handicapped. I laid across the radiator support for about an hour. My abdomen has a permanent impression from the hood latch. Still totally worth it.

Also removed the alternator in my daughter’s Tiburon. Replacement should be here tomorrow. Today was a good day, but I’m going to pay for it tomorrow.
