I have one more gadget which I would be happy to part with to provide a tool to a good home.

I have the following:

which comes with obdwiz software I used for some graphs here.

also have the scanXL software

with the GM diagnostics pack.

the GM pack will not let you manipulate like the real high end GM tool will, but will let you see quite a few more data items than a generic OBD dongle. I used to watch my AC compressor be commanded on and off, when I had some issues.

If anyone has a Windows machine with USB to use, I would be happy to send it to you for $50 (cable and low end software CD. the SCANXL is a software download, and I will forward lic codes via e-mail.

The only issue is that palmerperformance will not transfer ownership, but has clearly indicated to me I can install on up to four computers.(they pointed this out when I asked if they would transfer ownership)

I installed on one, and you are free to install on one to three more.

The license would stay in my name, but i would be happy to provide you all my contact info and keep in touch should you need to get support from palmer performance. If there ends up any issue with the license not working, i will refund any money that changes hands.

Looks to me like it says $50, includes the dongle (OBD-II to USB), low-end software CD, and a license code for the OBDWiz software.

I'd say that's a pretty fine deal.

Oh, I missed it... It is a great deal for anyone looking for this stuff. The higher end software is $89 alone.

Yeah, that's it lol. The dongle alone on the link you provided is $50 "on special," it says normal is $75. Add in the ScanXL BASIC is just another $75 by itself, and the GM-specific add-on adds up to the price you provided.

This is a good deal, indeed. If I had my own laptop, I'd take up on it myself.
