Haven't done anything too extravagant to my TB other than Plastidipping the grill black. But, she did see her first snowfall today.

Working on it! Added Yakima Big Powderhound!!ImageUploadedByTapatalk1419561755.832957.jpg

Since my build update, which was quite awhile ago, I have since added a Yakima Megawarrior, Removed Pin Striping, added snow/mountain bike stickers for more HP, and cut off the resonator. After I cut off the resonator, I added a pipe from Oriley. That is secured tight with a exhaust clamp and sealed around the OEM pipe with Exhaust putty!

Pulled the driver's floor dome light for a diagnostic and discovered it's clipped right near the housing.... :duh:

Not sure what I can do from here....

The only red I have are my stickers. I'm too clumsy to change the LEDs in the cluster. Knowing my luck, I'll break stuff. :rotfl: so I'm just going to run with white, black and green theme. I might try to see if Fast Signs would print me 2 green windshield banners. Front saying SHIMANO and rear SPECIALIZED. Then take all other decals off.

LED strips, easiest way to do cluster

Yea. But I would prefer not to touch the cluster. And I like green lights better than red...Less irritating.
Why not? You don't have to touch the stock bulbs Ryan. Desolder one just to free up the contact points to power LED strips. Soldering isn't as difficult as you think it is

Don't want a rainbow cluster though...unless you were telling me to put green LED's in...Then that doesn't seem too bad at all.

Also no soldering is technically required and none would have to be done in the cluster. Just run a wire to an ignition on positive and ground the other wire. You'd have to get a plug for it though.

The little control box would be housed outside the cluster.

If you were feeling frisky and wanted to buy some of the 4-wire extensions for it you could also put the strips in the foot wells and any other modules inside.

-you'd still have to pull and disassemble the cluster though.

Lol Garth I think that is too complicated yet for him. It's easier to solder in a strip

Umm dude if you have bright enough strips you wouldn't even see the stock bulbs. Orrrr you can pull out all the stock bulbs, orrrrr, just color match LEDs to the strips

My question is how do you know the color wouldn't come out right? You sure haven't tried it and I've never seen anyone else try it.

Just gotta dive in. Getting the cluster apart is the easy part. I'd never soldered on a circuit board before but I dove into the cluster and replaced the motors and bulbs in a couple hours.

If you don't step up, your mod game will not expand. It can't expand on it's own.

Disclaimer: if you mess something up don't blame me for trying to talk you into it, you make your own decisions. :raspberry:

We were all at the point you are now Ryan. Just gotta dive in like Garth said and explore threads on here to expand your knowledge. Your rig has potential, don't be intimidated and don't be afraid to ask for help. You know I always help you out best I can over the phone

How many layers? Stock TB wheels look great dipped. Back when I still had stocks on, they were 7 layers
:iagree: Mine are about 10 (1.5 cans). But I was light about them. I worked in a circle around my truck. I do need to do touch up tomorrow though, maybe add 2 more coats. How many cans did you use?
