On the way home from Georgia, after stopping for eats, the shifter did not move out of park and felt loose .... crawl under in the rain and the grommet in the end of the cable , at trans , had broke and fell out in two pieces...I stuck the biggest piece in and ran a wire, off a parts tag, up thru the end and around the lever and loosely twisted it shut.. got us 200+ miles home ... Stealership want $90 and change for a whole cable ....NOT...just taking the console out to get to the shifter mechanism scared me .... looked up the cable on Amazon .. $40.12....on a whim I put grommet onn the end of the part name and hit search... found this...
