I sanded down, primed and used high gloss wheel paint from auto zone and couple coats of clear. You also might want to try plasti dipping first, I tried lots of different color combos to see if it liked first.

My brother just used duplicolor wheel paint as well for his Mazda wheels... if you ask me, you can't tell a difference as they came out flawlessly... as long as things are prepped properly and you put on even coats, etc... then you should be golden...

Ryda- Do you know if you have to already have chrome wheel's to use that kit? I have stock rims still and they look horrible lol but this is something I would definitely be interested in doing until I got the $$$ for REAL rims.

For the shadow chrome kit its better if you have chrome, i dont know what it would look like with normal alloys.
But duplicolor also makes a hyper silver kit and multiple other wheel paints
You could also plastidip any color you want and in the states its like $6 a can

Plastidip for me is out of the question lol I go to the power wash way to often to have it last, plus the wheel's get pretty dirty during mudding season and I have to get kind of aggressive with the power washer to remove the dried mud.

I might think about getting an alloy rim from a J-yard and test the kit on it before I spray mine....I fell absolutely in love with the black chrome when I seen my buddy High Voltage's TB.

So if i can get someone to buy my xbox, i'm going to be doing this this weekend. I will also be permanently painting my vent shrouds and dash black, and the vent grills themselves red. While I'm at it, i plan to paint my front crossbar black, and my bowties red. Anybody have any other ideas while i'm huffing paint? Keep in mind, the red i will get will be more of a candy apple red.

I was considering the calipers, but hate taking them off, and i have a black TB, so i may just keep the mirror covers the way they are, but i may do gloss black. :undecided:

Also, thanks for the suggestions!

For the calipers i just left them on and taped the rotors up with newspaper and green painters tape, left a little red line on the rotor but hey it works lol
