New to this site, So I want to get involved and make a post.

I am looking to replace my Radio and speakers in my 2007 TB.

Thinking about going with a Sony WX-GS920BH Head unit and 4 Polk Audio DB 652.

Has anyone installed either of these in a TB? (or anything else-for that matter)

Any opinions will help, Thanks

I had the older version of the Polks in a jeep and they were great. I'm looking at getting those for the rears in my TB.

Same here for the Polks - I had 2pr in the wife's vehicle, and we both liked them (she's not as picky as I am wrt audio).
Were they perfect? No. But I thought they hit a certain sweet spot in price / performance.

Not familiar with the Sony HU, but many of us have put aftermarket radios in, of various brands.
Depending on what level your truck is optioned at, I'd recommend a wiring harness adapter. Saves you from cutting wires, and if you have a Bose (amplified) system, along with notification chimes, OnStar - you can retain them, as desired. Makes install a breeze, IMO. Again, many here have used them (the Metra and PAC harnesses tend to be the preferred ones here).

If the Sony is a Double-DIN, you'll probably need to cut out the 'upright' part of the rear mounting bracket (plastic) in order to flush-mount the HU. A small hacksaw, coping saw or Dremel cutting wheel makes short work of it.

So, I did purchase the Sony WX-GS920BH Head unit and 4 Polk Audio DB 652 speakers in my 2007 TB.
Install went pretty easy and I really like the head unit and the speakers, great sound an a lot more features than factory.
I purchased from Crutchfield, The wiring harnesses were great but i really did not need the speaker adapters supplied, I just had to modify the existing speaker brackets...Even the screw holes lined up.
I am attaching some pics, If anyone has questions I can respond.

I replaced all 4 speakers in my old '03 Envoy back in April of 2014. I did all 4 speakers and a new radio. Not sure if you're '07 has them already, but I also added two 3.5" dash speakers, which made the sound "fill-out" even better. It was a huge difference over listening to just the door speakers!

Altogether, the new aftermarket speakers and radio made a world of difference in sound quality!

How did you connect the dash speakers?

I tapped a L&R front speaker wire from the new aftermarket radio harness and ran each side from there. I used a straightened-out wire coat hanger, taped the speaker wire to the end, then fished it under the dash until each side was exposed where the speakers were going to be mounted. It was surprisingly easy to do once the radio is out and you have access to the inside of the dash.

The hard part was mounting new 3.5" speakers in the corners of the dash panel. There are pre-molded holes for them already, but I had to do a little cutting with a dremel to get the slightly larger magnet in place, then find a way to set the 4 mounting screws while battling the inner curvature of the front windshield. It was fun. My previous '03 Envoy XL did not come with any dash speakers, so I had to custom install them myself. Damn, I miss that Envoy!

So you just connected them in parallel with the front speakers? That would change the impedance of the circuit and might be bad for some radios at high power settings......

Yes I did. They were connected in parallel with the two lower front door speakers.
And I did not have or want my radio at a high power setting. I like a nice sound in my vehicles. Not the sound of a teenager seeking attention.

or a Multi-tool, think it took me 30 seconds to cut that thing out.

for my setup I did a set of components for the fronts, put the 6.5" in the door and mounted the tweeter up in the spot in the dash, then did some bigger mods to the rear doors to fit some 8" midrange woofers (see picture) then got the subs in the back, the new headunit really cleaned it all up, everything sounding nice and crispy now.
