Replacing power steering lines 2003 Trailblazer

Saw a few others had ruined lines under rubber hold down on driverside fender. Return line leaks and the high pressure side looks like could be a problem. Decided to just replace both. Might have done differently if I'd have found this site earlier. When viewed new lines they almost all said need to replace the internal rack seals. I'm not sure what I need to do to remove old and replace with new.
So much of this car just looks like bad engineering, this fix is no exception.:lipsrsealed:

Not sure if it was a poor question or some other issue. I'll ask a related question. When replacing the power steering lines on 03 TB and working on the rack and pinion end, would it be better to lower the unit(R&P) to get at the inner seals for the 2 lines going into the rack? Thanks.
