Replacement Heat Shielding?

I've fixed loose heat sheilding on my truck before. The piece above the muffler, I fixed with some stainless steel self tapping screws and washers.

But I noticed yesterday that the shield above my spare tire is loose and making noise. So today I lowered the spare tire to see if I could use the same trick. But that shield is bent into a particular shape and it doesn't go near any good flat surfaces I could screw in to. The only way I can see to fix it would be to remove it - and potentially melt my spare tire. OR get a replacement that has the little mounting tabs built in so it can mount the way its supposed to.

Can you still get these things as a part?

Likely not but you can try. There might be a dealer somewhere with some old stock. You'll probably have to try and find one in a yard.

Maybe check on GMPartsDirect or other online parts sellers. I know that a lot of them don't list all the parts anymore, especially if all of them on the same diagram are NLA.
