It's the chrome trim on Top of the xuv, if you've ever looked at an xuv then you should know what I'm talkin about, their the only envoy that has them

Hmmm.. as it turns out, I haven't looked at an XUV, at least not lately... and considering I have a TB EXT that might explain why I don't know what you're talking about...

Oh well... good luck.

PS. Your snotty response / attitude isn't going to help you - take that shit to the OS.

:iagree: smart ass responses won't help u in the long run of getting your question answered. So post a pic and get help or go back to the OS for help. I guess they couldn't help u there  good luck

GMTNation does indeed run on a different dynamic than the OS, we actually WANT to help people with their questions, mods, and so forth. In order to get an appropriate and correct answer....sometimes that calls for pictures to be posted. Not a lot of people have seen an XUV. I have only seen one because it backed into my Toyota Camry TWICE in a wide open area, had it not been for that, i'd be lost on what you were talking about too.

I'm going to make a rough guess as there are no pictures posted, but i'd imagine there are bolts holding them on. Now if you go removing a bunch of bolts, and the body of your XUV happens to fall off the frame while your driving down the road....I cannot be held reliable

to get this thread back on topic... here is a pic... the chrome is at the top of the rear...

now i myself dont know how that comes off (im guessing its like the roof racks of the TB's/Voy's )... but with how simple Plasti Dip is, you can just tape off the area to eliminate overspray... and if you dont like it, just peel it off...

It looks like its just a long "extension" of the roof rack. Like Boricua said just tape it off and spray.

Yeah I don't think those can actually be removed. BUT I wonder if it's a chrome type tape? Kind of like the window pillars on our trucks, where we peel it off and it has body color underneath?

I didn't think his comment was that bad, yes he should have done the work and posted the pic when he's looking for help, but I know we've all seen a LOT worse.

Well the op had a bad encounter with plasti dip with there grill from one of there post. So plasti dip for the chrome trim is up to them if they want to try that again. Best bet is leave it there or take a look at it and see if its a sticker like voymom said!

I wanted to clarify that I didn't think he was being snobby, but I did also want to clarify that we are different than the os, and that pictures do help....A LOT!

There is another member on the forums here that painted his to match the paint on his car.

There is another lifted XUV somewhere as well, I think he painted his Matte Black... To match the rest of the paint he put on his car.. Matte Black.

One of the reasons I like my Silver XUV.. The Chrome runners match the paint..

I kinda like the look of the black and chrome personally, but it also does seem kinda disproportionate.

Also, to all.. Remember.. The XUV was not produced as much as ALL the other 360 series (excluding the SSR), so not everyone knows what one is, or what one looks like.
