I have a 2004 TB EXT (V6 engine)...It started having starting problems recently that point to the ignition switch. I'm wanting to replace the ignition switch. It looks somethign a DY're can do however my vehicle has a Throttle and Brake Pedal adjustment switch on the steering wheel Column (to the right of the steering wheel height adjustment lever). I've attached a picture of the switch.

Does anyone have experience on how to get the throttle/brake adjustment switch safely (without breaking it) out of the steering column so that the lower plastic cowl can be removed (to get at the ignition switch)? It looks like there's a rubber gasket that the switch fits into....thinging if I gently pry around the sides of the gasket, I shuld be able to remove it so I can then remove the lower section of the steering plastic cowl (to get at the ignition switch).

Would greatly appreciate any suggestions on the best way to pop this switch out of the steering wheel column...ThanksThrottle_brake_switch.JPG
