Rear Wiper not returning to cradle properly

My rear wiper stopped returning to the cradle properly. It has not been bent or modified in any way. Normally when it is shut off it kicks out a little as it goes under the window to make it seat in the cradle properly. The other day it just stopped doing that. Now it hits the cradle and gets stuck. If I pull it out manually it will then lower the last 1/2 inch or so into the cradle. Otherwise it stays stuck and I won't turn back on via the switch until I un-stick it.

I did remove it and spray it down with white lithium grease and clean it up and replace it on the vehicle. This did not help at all. I don't see anything physically broken, loose, or missing.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Post a picture. I know mine never returns to the cradle properly. It sits on it, but is about 1/8 - 1/4" to far out to sit in the resting spot. It still works properly and wipes the window fine.

Does yours wipe the window OK.
Mine got rust in the hinges and needed a few doses of PB Blaster and a lot of working back and forth.
Not sure the grease would get rid of the rust well enough.

That's what I did too. Mine wouldn't budge. After doing that the spring was able to work again and hold the arm against the window and go into the holder properly. PB blaster is what I used too and it worked great. I also agree the lithium grease may not work as well.

It used to kick out on it's own to seat in the outer part of the cradle. Then a few days a go it stopped kicking out and just gets jammed where you see it in the pic.
Then it won't free itself unless I do it by hand.

No we just had snow this morning. I previously removed it and sprayed it down with white lithium grease and cleaned it up and replaced it on the vehicle. The arm and all related pieces appear to be functioning properly, it cleans my window perfectly. I need to know what causes it to kick out before it hits the cradle. When I watched it before the arm kicked out before it got to the bottom of the window when working properly.
