Rear tailgate

Hello. Thanks for adding me. This is my first post.
I have a 06 Envoy xl with a 4.2 that has a rusted out tailgate. I have an opportunity to buy a gate from an 07 Denali. There is some question as to whether it will fit my truck. Can anyone please confirm if there is a difference from my regular XL and the Denali?
Also. Looking to buy the BCM under the back seat from the same 07. Will it work on my 06?

Hi and welcome!

Only an XL tailgate will fit unless the Denali is also an XL. Don't know if that was a possible option. Ask if the Denali was a 7 passenger. If not, pass and look for an XL.

The BCM may work however would need to be programmed to your truck as well as the security. You'd also need to do a security relearn for the PCM.

Edit: Re-reading your post, the Denali is an 07 and since the 7 passenger stopped production in 06, that would be a hard no, it will not fit since there was no XL in 07.
