Gawd damn... Seeing a wrecked Trailvoy is always painful to see... :quiverlips:

I am with ya there. Makes me sad for at least 10 or 15 seconds before I start thinking about the parts list.

Seeing those gives a bit of thought in the safety of the trucks we drive. Looks like they hold up real well in roll overs.

:dielaugh: Yeah, I do the same. I could use the headlights from the first wreck. They still look good.

I am still surprised that you didn't field dress any of them and bring them with you for lunch that day.

Here is mine from a few years ago. I had a car spin in snow and ice in front of me on the highway and I chose to ditch it in the center median rather then hitting the car.

The wife spun out on the 416 last week, and backed it hard into the ditch. She walked away ok, and the TB only had some minor damage. Crushed (and bent) exhaust where it goes over the rear axel, destroyes the trailer plug and my poor skull with the light up eyes went to the big skull in the sky.

Photo2.jpg

Then the tow truck shows up, and since I don't have tow hooks ... decides the brush bar is the next best thing to hook to for the winch out -

Photo4.jpg

If I was there I think I would have mangled him. My wife took the pictures ... and the bar damage was bad enough I had to take it off before I thought of getting a few more decent shots. Lucky for us the O.P.P officer that stopped witnessed everything so now I am geting a new brush bar, and the tow company is paying for it .

That tow driver is a IDIOT!!!!! I am a tow driver and what he should have done is, attached his winch to the tow points at the front or rear of the chassis. My guess is he did not want to get dirty so he short cutted and now rightfully he will pay for it.

Picture from a few years ago of my mom's TB. Going north through a 4way intersection(our turn to go) someone(received a DUI) heading west went around a car stopped at the stop sign and slammed into the side of ours. Pushed us onto the other side of the grassy island into oncoming traffic. Lady must have been going 40-50. We slid down the road a little. Think it ended up being 15K in damages. I wish I took a picture of the ladies honda accordion. At least that was it turned into. The accord was definitely totaled.

Here's my wife's Rainier after she rolled it 2.5 times off the highway last January. The reason it isn't crushed down completely is because we had record snow in MN and all the rolling was done in several feet of snow narrowly avoiding a bunch of obstacles that would have made it so much worse. None of the whitnesses could believe she and our son walked away. Just up the road minutes later the exact same type of SUV rollover and all the occupants were crushed and killed. We counted our blessings that day. It was black ice and this is why I harp about stabilitrac. When the cops came to get her out of the car, it was burried so deep in the snow they couldn't open the doors so the cop tried breaking the passenger window and was physically unable to even crack it full force with his large maglight. This was a lifechanging day for us. The towtruck driver told me he was eyeing my weathertech floor mats so I was glad I showed up while it was still on the flatbed being dropped off.

8:00 am morning commute, sunny, dry clear roads...June 2008, rush hour traffic herds doing 45mph both North & South directions in a 5 lane (has a shared center turn only lane) un-divided busy roadway.

My 2004 Envoy, de-badged, on 20's, billet grille & gas cap. Oh & with warranty left (@44k).... the before and the after photos... upon a head on into the passenger center of a 4 door, Volvo that while center lane illegal passing lost control as it over corrected the herd it needed to get in front of at all costs...the hell with everyone else they were "angry" their own police reported words.... When steered in rears broke loose & swung, so then S40 let off gas (FWD) and yup steered to correct that slide and WHIPPED around the other way now & spun over- crossed center turn only lane into my lane. Happened in front of my eyes quicker than you could read this. Mine really had extensive damage, frame, and roof buckled...yup both totaled.

Last june i rearended a subaru forester on the way to a jason aldean concert. He Decided to go 60-0 in the fast lane of I-95. Subaru foresters stop alot quicker than lifted trailblazers. No injuries no airbags and i was able to drive it home.

Few minutes ago saw a hyundai accent that had an rammed into a small sized caterpillar truck! The truck flipped from the impact! Hyundai was totaled.

Paramedics were trying to revive the driver through CPR! It's things like this that make u think about life and what you've done with it.

Couldn't take any pics because of the heavy traffic and becuse of the bystanders. I Also felt it would be unethical to snap a pic and there was a guy laying there that may or not make it!
