Rainier Radio bezel removal?

I need to remove the HVAC controls and have been reading trying my best to figure how the bezel comes off. I have read it just pops off to having to remove the center console to get to screws at the bottom to having to remove some pieces under the steering wheel.

What is correct?

you have to remove the top of the center console. begin with removing the shifter and storage tub under the armrest. then you can remove the top part of the center console to access the 2 screws at the bottom.

Looking at the pictures, I remove the two screws under the arm rest and then will be able to pop off the top of the whole console?

Just remember.you have to remove the shifter, the boot will just pull up and then there is 1 star screw on the shifter handle
