I’ve heard from a few where I live this happens to them and I’m tired of smelling antifreeze so I use plumbers tape to see if that help and so far I’m good but only ran the truck once since. Any other idea that people who have had this issue can give me a trip ofr two to prevent it. I was thinking if this doesn’t work with the plumbing tape then maybe a new cap? Thanks in advance

Yes, a new cap. Shouldn't leak or smell at all.

great I’m going to order it now! I put plumbers tape on it just to try and it’s still splashed back onto my cold air intake. Is there any brand better than the other? Thank you

You could get any good brand. I have never had any failure from the OEM original from the factory. On RA, it's $7.60. But looking at the pics, the Gates at $3.68 seems to be the same as per the markings on it. The regular ACDelco is $4.97. I'd go with the Gates because I'm cheap.
