well with the first setup I was rubbing like crazy on bumps

So I switched the factory ZQ8 springs out with Belltech 1inch drop springs so I went back up 1/2 inch in the front

Painted front caliper setup 2 tone

Added the factory flares back on after trimming them down

Added door jab trim pieces from an 07 model

Street Scene Spoiler

Hellwig Traction Springs

Installed all red 3rd brake light and TYC LED tails

Added my flush bed cover and the street scene spoiler

New stainless steel gauges also modified the needles to red

bed cover and spoiler painted

Clean cut creations crossmember still needs to be installed

Belltech Coilover setup for the front Also have a set of 1 inch blocks for the rear that I havent put on yet

picked up a set of 18 inch factory colorado xtreme wheels for the winter timeand track

painted the wheels flat black

then finally got my center caps

Also added Street Scene mirrors

repainted the wheels passenger side charcol with a red lip and drivers side added a red lip was trying to decide which I prefered

also painted the mirrors and added a black chrome grill

Picked up a set of Silverado SS wheels

had a friend bore them out

test fitted ;-)

got some new tires bought them used with 1k-1500 miles on them for $300

New stacked up till I decide to swap them on

thought I'd finally update this thing

So awhile back I picked up a canyon shell from Paul that he already cut out

Also picked up a SS grill for it

I got the grill and my bumper as well as the colorado grills powder coated

meanwhile I was gettign the bumper fixed and repainted and getting the grill shell painted also

L33 5.3 V8 Out of a 06 Silverado. Has 22k miles on it. All aluminum block and heads

the bad parts

need a new pulley no biggie

smashed oil filter umm ok

oh the damn cracked oil pan (they only took 50 bucks off for that grrr)

took the engine to the engine shop

went to check on it

then brought it back home

and before I left for israel I blew a tire

However bad news I did hit something and it shot a hole through my inner fender and dented the bedside from inside

Picked up some new tires

LH8 oil pan for the V8

Painted behind my grill

I'll have a few other items coming when I get back from Israel

One thing I need to fix when I get back is my exhaust

Started stripping the motor down

Still need to paint the heads, valve covers, brackets, water pump, pulleys, etc....

Not sure how I'll do the fast intake

Swapped out the oil pickup since I have to use a LH8 oil pan (colorado/canyon/h3) since the silverado one won't work, and the oil pickup was too long so I had to use a LH8 one. However I did get a new windage tray but I saw no need to swap it out.

LH8 pan, it will be staying the cast aluminum color

and another reason why I can't use the pan

and thats how everything pretty much sits, haven't had much time to work on the truck lately due to traveling with work and now trying to get my garage ready for winter and issues i've had with my Jimmy.

To the OP, AWESOME! Great to see the transformations your truck has seen, the many stages my 02 TB has been through are mostly in memory as Im too lazy to get pics usually. Its been stock, dropped, raked (stock rear, dropped front), stock, and now has a 3/2" lift on it.

You have an 02 right...Ive got the PCM issues sorted out Im 95% sure. Run a LS1B 1MB PCM with a factory 02/03 TrailBlazer 5.3L V8 Operating System. Remember they're the same truck, just a few inches longer. GM's done the hard part by writing us an Op. Sys. that will still communicate correctly with the cluster, BCM, etc.

I got a cam, rod, and springs. A friend was going to put this package in his and then he decided to not do his v8 swap. I still havent put the cam package in yet, but hopefully soon.


Cam -

Intake valve lift - .580, degrees of duration 225
Exhaust valve lift - .590, degrees of duration 229
Lobe center 114 + 4 LSA

Push rods -

5/16" x 7.400" hardened

Valve Springs-

Gold Dual Valve Springs, Super 7 Locks, Ti retainers, Seals & .505" Bases (use with stock guides)
