Ive got a set of 265/70R16s on my 02 without any spacers, it has a lift kit but Im pretty sure you could get away with that size without a lift too. Kumho Road Venture KL61s, think they're 30.4" diameter, theres about 1/4" of UBJ clearance. Going to grind them down a bit when it gets back to Seattle in a few months just for piece of mind, but its been just fine in Montana snow for 4 months.

These were my 265/60/17's and there was no rubbing, just a tad wide for my personal taste on the stock wheels anyway.
Went back to the stock size and have been happier.

If you are wanting an 'aggressive tread' (all terrain vs all season im assuming) you might have a hard time fitting a 265 tire if its on 17s... I guess it depends on how aggressive you want the tread.

there was NO way mine would have fit without significant rubbing (not to mention ball joint scraping) if I didn't lift it and put on spacers. Might want to look into the 245s? what size are your rims? I see you have an LTZ too so im assuming 17s...

After driving the tb before and after the lift, I won't ever go back to stock. Replacing suspension components increased handling by 2141023819%. I did the lift spacers shocks springs for a little over $400. Plus big sexy tires :rotfl:

The OP is asking about 265/65/17s (not as tall), but your also right that it's a maybe size. OP just get one test fitted on the front and if you have some ball joint rubbing, some have ground an angle on the bottom of the ball joint to gain tire clearance.

:iagree: I did my lift with all used parts and after mounting and balancing the tires and an alignment I only had about $450 in the lift and tires.

That is an impressive gain, and very precise. Nice looking tire though

255/65/17 Michelin LTX MS2, not aggressive, plenty of clearance, and no mods required for this size tire.

Sweet tire! I was going to splurge for those in that size since they don't have our size in 245. How do they ride, any change in MPG? I heard they were were rough the first few hundred but alot of tires are, can't trust all the reviewers though.

Couldn't be happier, no change in the mpg, that didn't happen until after the lift. Not a bit of ride roughness, a very smooth handling tire in all road conditions I've thrown at it thus far.
