i will be getting a tune soon hopefully. ive been reading that on some 04 models you have to have a dealership perform a update is that true. also what level of tunes are you guys running and what all does a pcm tune improve. my i6 is all stock and with 126xxx on the clock. no plans on any mods maybe an exhaust in the future just want to firm up shifts any maybe a few extra mpg.

No need to get it updated. Pcm4less use the latest stock tune and mod it. I got the level 2 shift firmness, totally happy. You might also meant to turn off fan error codes so that you could use a 2008 clutch that doesn't have the electro viscous crap clutch or efans.

is the clutch on the 08 a direct plug in play

Yep, Minus the plug.... haha Once you get the code removed from the PCM you can stick it on without the SES light coming on constantly...

The '08+ is like the older thermal fan. It doesn't rely on voltage to make the fan spin faster for cooling.
