Well, I smelled a slight coolant odor fri night. Didn't drive again till morning. Within 2 miles temp redlined, drivebelt blown and coolant sprayed about the engine. Both rad hoses and rad itself seem to NOT be leaking. Overflow bottle was definitely leaking upon topping off (wasn't spilling it pouring). Then magically it seemed to be holding, but if level got near cold line, it leaks from the rear (towards firewall) and exits behind passenger tire. Coolant topped off to line inside neck. After installing new belt and having it slip off once, re-install and it stayed put, but fan area makes terrible sound and real rough running. A bit of smoke appeared for the first time. The pump has been suggested as the cause...

2nd agenda is a parasitic draw on the battery. New battery installed 6mos ago. If truck sits for more than 2 days, she's dead. No dome lights, nothing auxillary left on. We all know home annoying and glitchy the factory alarm is, many signs point to that drawing on batt... but also could it be an alternator diode?

95k currently on the clock. Coolant is completely rusted through, needs to be replaced obviously. :badday:
