So a guy in my area posted online he has a set of 20" TBSS wheels for $900...is this too much? He says they come with 90% 255/50 tires and tpms (which isnt something my LS has). I haven't seen them yet and would love to get a set when I lower my TB. I'd prefer to pay $500 or so for them. Am I lowballing with this offer?

I feel weird asking advice on here about a possible purchase, but I'm pretty sure everyone has their own thoughts on this.

Thanks...Sean

What year..how many miles..condition of tires?? I'd say the price is a little steep. They are at least 4 years old assuming they are oem. U can get brand new repros for that price excluding tires.

that's a steal for OEM 20" SS wheels WITH tires... factory RSA's are anywhere from $500-$600 a set mounted and balanced... and he's stating theyre 90% tred life... I'd look into it...

I usually see them for $1200 plus on the forums... without tires, theyre usually going for $500 plus... for chits and giggles, offer the guy $800... see what he says... but $500 is low balling...

to give you an idea... here is a guy selling just 2 on tbssowners with tires for $450...

here are some 20x8 FR Chrome replicas... just wheels... again, just giving you an idea of things..

Ok so I didn't see the remaining tread life. If the wheels are in good shape get em.

He wants 900 I'd say 650 cash, if he's says no I'd go 700 no more. I talked mine down from 1100 to 600 with tires, worst they say is no.

Wow, thats a steep negociation. I had a few people lowball me when I sold my stock ones for $800 (600 and 650), I told them to take a hike. Ended up selling then for $750 with 1 wheel curb rashed pretty badly and stock RS-As at 50%.

For $900, Id pass. Get some Factory Reproductions for a little less and put GOOD tires on them. The RS-As are worthless POS that I will never own again.

I love to haggle prices, you win some you lose some.. But I like winning the negotiations more haha. 9 times out 10 you put 100$s and 50 in cash in front of somebody they take the deal.

Very true, I was dealing via text and email so I just said no thanks. Besides, I wasnt super pressed to sell them, they'd been sitting in the shed for 6+ months and I figured I should get 'em out of there.
