CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER TWIN-TURBO

An old Motor Trend article, written in 2002 where GM built a one-off experimental TB 4.2L twin turbo. This was the precursor to the TB SS as they were already modding the TB with no rack, quicker steering and EXT bigger brakes.

Interesting read.

I've seen articles and pics of that TB before, too bad they never released it. Would of been cool if TB's had another powerhouse besides the SS's.

Well it supposedly did 400hp so it would have given the SS a run for its money.

Back in the day of the GN and the Sy/Ty, GM underestimated the HP for these models. Its possible the TT TB would have made alot more than 400HP

Could possibly be for insurance purposes. Remember when they changed how HP was measured in the 70's? Went from gross to net HP, basically giving HP with all accessories installed. To lower the HP rating, they could be loading it down as much as possible. Or that engineer was still thinking gross HP.
