Any tune guys know how to see if the Drive Cycle has completed after having the battery disconnected for a Throttle Body cleaning? Need to have the new (to us) TB emission checked and, of course, they will not pass it unless all sensors are a go.

Thanks!

A battery disconnect (10 min, or longer) will usually erase all current codes. Some PCM computers will also loose the history codes after that disconnect as well.

What's he's asking for Ray, isn't about clearing codes. He went for an emission test with no codes showing, but he also cleared the successful drive cycle memory that makes sure people don't try to CHEAT the emission testing by clearing codes on the way into the test center. He wants a way to see BEFORE he goes to the testing center if they're going to defer him to complete more driving cycles.

AFAIK there's no way to check without a code reader/scan tool.

He posted in another thread he has a OBDLink SX. Pretty full featured. Geez, I was Wooluf's mouthpiece, now I'm Robbabob's. I'm not getting paid enough for this shit.

But you wear your badge so well! Being able to keep track of all the threads and bring all the information to a focal point.

Besides, you also want to know ~adds to your all-knowing superior sense of being~ :raspberry:

Here is my scan tool. Hope it has what it takes!

The Torque app has a fuel/air mixture display widget that shows the status of several emissions-type cycles. Not sure if it shows a specific one that is need, but I remember it showing several items.

Thank you for the help, the roadie and all. I'm guessing there isn't a code to read at this point.

Worth a try!

my cheap walmart reader has a red-yellow-green led on it, red means theres a code thrown, yellow when its been cleared but has to be driven-clear, green when you're good

REALLY!?!?!? then there is a code that should be readable. Well, hopefully accessible through my reader. Wlse, I'll be ehading to Wally's.

Thanks!

That's really cool to have the indicators.

Wife passed emissions testing yesterday, so I guess the drive-cycle completed perfectly... :wootwoot:

Thanks again, y'all!

The torque app have a "drive cycle status since dtc clear widget" and a "current drive cycle status widget." cool I was wondering what those were for. Gotta go try it.

This is a Rare Old Thread on the Topic of FUBAR'd Drive Cycles preventing the PASS INSPECTION Criteria... but this "On Topic" Trailblazer 5.3L Video from Eric "O" at SMA should find itself right at home here with lots of informative *Stuff*:
