no sound to rear speakers

My stock radio died, OnStar no Bose. I have the new radio installed and up and running with a GMOS-01. Everything seems to be working well except I have no sound to the rear door speakers. I tested the outputs from the radio to just behind the 24 pin harness with a volt meter and it looks like I have juice going out into the wires. Is there a plug just for the rear speakers that might have become disconnected? I find it difficult to believe that both speakers or a speak wire to each could have failed. Frankly I never used the fade function on the stock radio so I'm not certain the speakers worked when I bought the vehicle. I have yet to take the trim panel off the door and test the wires at the speakers.

Is this a common problem?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Simultaneous dying speakers are rare, but cases where speakers have died and the owner noticed them at the same time happens often. Or the wires flex and break at the door hinge area. No substitute for pulling the door panel and troubleshooting it.

Checking all speakers is a typical thing for a prepurchase inspection, for next time.
