Hello, i've been browsing the forums for a couple months now and i decided it was time to register and get some suggestions for what i should do next to my voy
I've already re-done my entire exhaust system from the cat back and planning on re doing it again this summer but cut off my hitch and do a center exhaust
Im also planning on powder coating the denali rims black and painting the calipers red
And my new grille comes in tomorrow so thats going on
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated because i love fixing up my voy and then staring at the work i've done whenever i get in or out lol

Mind these pics are a little outdated, i've removed the silver mouldings on the side and done a couple other things but thats about it

Nice ride! Depending on the look you are going for, maybe a debadge and take luggage rack and running boards off.:twocents:

Haha thanks  I'm going for the tough stance look, the type that you think when you see a tbss in your rear view and wanna move outta the way lol

A TBSS is that tough stance your talking about lol also how did you get those leds by the fog lights? where you hook them up to?

Some things that come to mind for me at least:
remove roof racks
shave the side moldings off to smooth out the door
I know you have a black car but I would still paint the side view mirrors so you get that paint and shine to it
take the plastic off the door pillars so there is paint there and gives some gloss also
de badge if you would like
I would have color matched the headlights, would make the car look more aggressive

Hahahaha theres something about the front end of the tbss thats intimidating lol
The leds near the fogs are the 4" ones you get at walmart and i just spliced them into the headlights
And yea i want to darken the headlights but im scared of opening it up and not sealing them properly

Triple black Denali.. nice. I personally like the running boards, but my wife is also 4'10" tall. So I need the running boards.

nice Voy...

be careful when you take out the trailer hitch for the center exhaust... not only does it serve as a hitch, but it aides with the structure of the frame in the back (in case you get into an accident for example).. that's something I would not sacrifice for a cosmetic/visual appearance mod...

Btw theres a guy up here in toronto that flat blacked his envoy, this is the second one i've seen next to the one with scissor doors and body kit. What do you guys think? I've been debating it since i bought my voy in october

I don't think the Voy looks good in FlatBlack. The body lines, and face are not sinister enough for it.

I like the look of the running boards too, i find it makes the voy more bulky and yea compared to the trailblazers the envoy is shaped like a mini van hahaha when i first bought the voy my sister asked me why i bought a mini van..... I went the next day to redo my entire exhaust system so at least it be a meaner sounding mini van lol and tinted my tails and painted my grille

I forgot to mention the guy who sold me the voy completely took off the muffler and resonator and replaced it with 3" piping straight down, it sounded like a chopper lol

I like the look so far, AND...don't be afraid at all of opening the headlights! (no) and when they're open, toss a few projectors in there and gloss black it out! THEN, she'll look mean! :raspberry:
but, I'm biased hahahaha

Is there going to be a summer meet?

There are a few of us in the Southern Ontario area that like to get together a few times over the course of the year...
Keep an eye out on the Eastern Canada thread (links in my sig) as we usually chat in there about them...

What do you guys think? The emblem either sits too high or too low on the grille so i went with the high

Looks good man!! You got to shave those roof racks and door moldings lol it will make the car pop!!! Here is mine before and after if you need some help

As for the headlights, you could always buy a cheaper pair from the junk yard or eBay and work on those. If you seal them correctly you will not have a problem. Or another option is tint the headlights but tape off where the lights shine through. Voymom has done that if you want an example!

Fugly moldings

no more fugly

without the racks and door moldings

Grille looks great! Is the "GMC" on the grille removable? Just wondering how it would looked blacked out without the badging on the grille.

I recommend buying a 3m eraser wheel when it comes time that you want to start removing the side molding or anything else that will leave a sticky residue behind. Trust me, your fingers will thank you and it will save alot of time! :twocents:

Yep its removable but it looks very empty, i was thinking about taking the rear GMC logo off and putting it on the lower right of the grille but it was more work then i felt like doing at the time lol

Would a buffer wheel work? I just bought one a couple days ago to apply meguiars scratch X2.0 on because black is the worst color at hiding scratches  and yea my fingers are probably thanking you right now hahaha

Wheels look ok...but definitely better ones out there...over all I like the look. Needs to be lower tho.
