I just upgraded from a set of 305/60R18 (32.6" x 12.50")Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ P3s to a set of 275/70R18 (33.2" x 10.8") BFG A/T KO2s and after some initial off-road testing I can say that I'm impressed. I compared theses against the Goodyear Duratracs but the price and warranty offered were the ultimate deciding factors on the BFGs. I noticed right off the bat that they are quieter, don't tram-line and offer more upper ball joint clearance. I also like the look of the taller/skinnier tire on stock wheels.

I have those tires on my Silverado. Not driven them in the winter yet, but they are certainly pretty quiet and reported tread life and snow traction is supposed to be really good. I almost went with 18s but bought 17 instead to keep costs down a little bit.

The snow traction alone is something I'm excited about. There sure aren't a ton of options in an 18" but there's a veritable cornucopia of used full size GM wheels/tires in my area and in my search I even considered switching spacers to adapt the truck to the 6 on 5.5 pattern and get down into the 17s for more options but...the cost would've been negligible in the end and I wouldn't have any warranty. I didn't think there'd be that much of a difference going from a 275/65, as seen below, to a 70 series but it's almost 1.5" taller!

Sweet!!! I got the 265/70r17 in these and yes so right. Quiet on the road and aired down great in sand. I am happy with mine so far.
