need replacement bolt for lower strut arm

While replacing the struts I damaged the bolt for the lower strut arm where the strut mates to the arm. live and learn that you should fully remove the bolt before pushing out the strut :smile:

Never saw it sold separately. The rubber bushing it goes into is formed into the lower control arm. Mevotech has entire LCA assemblies for around $150 each that also include new lower ball joints. I got those.

You may want to invest some time with a thread repair file to see if you can fix your bolt up to save money.

this is the bolt that holds the lower part of the strut in place, no bushings that I could see, books like a class 10.9 bolt. it's the bolt inserted into the strut arm seen below

Class 10.9
Alloy Steel, Quenched and Tempered

cut the last 1/4" off and cleaned up the threads, good to go!

On a related note to your picture in post #3 ... how were you able to get the strut bushing (shown separately in the pic) out of the LCA?

Disregard. I'm looking at the ball joint.
