I own a 2014 Tahoe Police Cruiser. I want to know if I can turn the actual alarm system on. I’m afraid if I have professional install an actual working alarm system, that it may disable my vehicles factory set up that was met for the police. I’ve called the Arlington Assembly factory and received a dead end.

Don't quote me on this but it may be possible to flash the BCM to a civilian version of the programming. May have to change the VIN in the BCM and PCM to make it accept if SPS says it's not available.
Try checking your VIN in this site. It should give available programming for all the modules and may show options like enabling the alarm, panic alarm and horn lock response.
To get the programming though, you'll need a subscription to SPS and someone with a GM MDI interface or go to a dealer to do it.
