I have already installed a Traxda 2.5" leveling kit in the front of my '02 trailblazer ext lt, couldn't stand the rake. My question is, can I do a liftmeister 3" suspension lift also? I currently have Cooper Discovery at3 245/60/17 on it but would like to go to a more aggressive 32 or 33 inch tire with a 16" offset wheel. I know I need the 1.5 spacer/adapter but don't want to have to go the body lift route. Any advice and knowledge is greatly appreciated.

Lifts can't be stacked, but you can have a body and a suspension lift. But markmc has no more body lifts. BDS sells a 2".

-Get one of those sports bras or whatever that go on the front of the vehicle
-Write WONDER on the bra
-BOOM! Lift.

Thanx Roadie...would it be advisable to replace the Traxda 2.5" with the markmc 3" suspension lift and do the complete spring and shock replacement with bilstein hd's and z71 springs? I won't be doing any rock crawling but we do have some decent and rough terrain here in New York. I am simply looking for more ground clearance and a better stance. I will also be adding some bumpers, skids and tire rack to my rig so I need her to be stout. I appreciate your time and input. The pioneers of the off-road trailblazer scene are like a godsend for me. I am proud of my beautiful Judith and I want her to rugged as well. I haven't seen any lifted trailblazers here just trucks and jeeps and my Judith will show other trailblazer owners, of which there are many here that our platform is equal if not better...thank y'all again.

If you don't like the rake you are far better staying the way you are setup and use the tires and a body lift. If you change things out, including adding Z71 rear springs you will add a rake.

--Tires and body lift will not change the rake issue at all.:raspberry:

Adding z71 springs will make it have more rake, so avoid them. You really need the front up a bit to lose the rake, so switching to Marks 3 inch will help some. Also adding 88-89 or Moog 114 springs may help as well.

You wont get much more lift without a body lift, likely not enough for wide offset 33s. Why would you not want a body lift? While it does not help GC itself, it will allow the bigger tires which give you GC. The COG also stays lower and that is a good thing.

Okay, so how much modification besides the lift spacers is necessary? I really would like to run a 33" tire and don't mind more work as lifting goes but it would be nice to know what lies ahead. I have 6.5" from tire to fender f/r with the leveling kit now. Am I looking at extending the steering, shifting linkage or anything else?

Just as an idea of what I would like to achieve ...I love this setup.

You mean besides body lift spacer? The directions are available online via a pdf. You add a bolt in steering extention. You notch the rear frame rails. Cut the front bumper. Brackets relocate bumpers. Shift linkage is not touched.

He has 35s in that picture by the way. Did look good in person.

Modifications you may need to keep in mind overall with lifting up high....
Flip n flop the Upper control arms in the front to give better ball joint angle.
Extended rear brake lines, not necessary, but good if you really flex it out much.
Extended rear control arms to push the rear axle back in the wheelwell.
Adjustable panhard bar to center rear axle side to side under the truck.
Cutting inner fenders and metal of fenders may be necessary. Quite a few of us have done it.

--Before worrying about bigger tires and lift...Do you have at least a radiator skid and an oil pan skid? More important than other mods we are discussing.

No sir I didn't see that rig in person. It's actually a download pic from Google that said was from offroadtb.com. As money allows I will be ordering the skid kits from MDB as well as a bumper kit. I have spoken to and paid the welding master at work to do the welding on them for me. I am looking at an extended time frame for all mods , probably around a year but the skids will be first. I thank you all for the information and time taken to help this noob out...KCCO

I did see that in person is what I meant. Not sure but I may have been next to picture taker....
